Denims are the order of the day. Unless you are working for a corporate firm, chances are your favourite pair of denim pants has been to the rescue on several ocassions. Running late? Just grab on to a straight leg denim pant, team it with just about anything.. a tee or a checked shirt and run along. Planning a picnic? It’s incomplete without a pair of baggy jeans to laze around in. Gotta catch up with friends? Skinny churi denims should do the trick. A pair of studded ankle denims with a swanky top is all that you need to dazzle at a society do.

Here are a few looks and how you can make them work:
Skinny jeans: No, they’re not a magic pair of pants that will make you look skinny, so don’t kid yourself. Best in stretch fabric, they have gathers at the bottom and are meant for those with a lean frame.
Boot Cut: Has a slight flair. Apt for those who are tall and have a regular built.
Flared jeans: The Elvis Presley meets John Travolta look is out of fashion and flares are best reserved for a costume party. Also, the extra-wide bottom makes it difficult to commute.. you wouldn’t want to trip on jeans, would you?
Straight leg: A real life-saver, these jeans fall somewhere in between skinny jeans and boot cuts. You can team them with chappals, shoes, floaters, tees, shirts.. anything and everything. It’s a must-have for guys and gals.
Destroyed jeans: Diesel has a large variety in destroyed jeans. They are the kind that look fine on the rack, but start fraying strategically with each wash. It gives the perfect lived-in and worn out look.
Ankle jeans: These are skinny without the churis (gathers) at the bottom, a neat finish and is very 60s. It has an eternal quality to it, which is why women still wear it.
Baggy jeans: Perfect to flaunt when you are in that hip-hop mood. A blessing in disguise for choreographers, baggy pants are high on the comfort factor. Though not in vogue now, save a pair.. it shows signs of making a
comeback soon.
Carpenter jeans: A bit similar to baggy jeans, these are for those who are on the move and with jobs that involve physical labour. The jeans got its name from the well-built American blue-collared workers. But the super-sexy look works for guys with the perfect fire man (not Indian) frame.
Overalls: Add a pinafore or the upper half of a dungaree, to carpenter jeans and you’ve got an overall.
