With crowds thronging the stalls, the participants from various colleges received them well and their eyes held a silent promise of providing them a much better response the next year.

The Mela as usual witnessed a plethora of activities on the last day too. Prof Rajendra Kumar, former HoD Hindi, Allahabad University, presided over the event. The special invitee was Rajeev Ranjan from Karnal.

Altogether 1,200 certificates were distributed to the participants at the mela, belonging to various colleges of the country.

The evening witnessed the workshop presentation of the play ‘Objection, Me Lord’ which was the joint effort of Delegacy and Backstage. It was based on the theatrical notes on justice, judgement and treason.

The trial scenes of the three plays were summed up in it. ‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’ by Bertold Brecht, ‘Court Martial’ by Swadesh Deepak and ‘Shantata Court Chaloo Aahe’ by Vijay Tendulkar were the plays.

Altogether 18 artistes portrayed their talent. The play was directed by senior theatre artiste Praveen Shekhar.

Another play ‘Bal Bhagwan’ directed by Anil Ranjan Bhowmick was also staged on the occasion. Based on social evils, the play has been staged in several theatrical festivals earlier.
