The arms dealers are said to be getting the original models of sophisticated arms from extremist organisations of the northeast (N-E) like the Nagaland-based Garo National Liberation Army ( GNLA) and Manipur-based Peoples Liberation Army.

This has come to light during investigations by a three-member team of National Investigation Agency (NIA), which visited Munger to enquire into the recovery of foreign made weapons in the district early this month.

The police had recovered latest 9mm Austria made Glock pistol (4general) on July 28 during a vehicle-checking drive on the Munger-Bhagalpur road near Nauagadhi More.

Glock pistol is a prize firearm and the state police had requisitioned just 26 pistols (3general) for SP-rank officers deployed in extremist-affected districts.
