Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf relayed hopes of a peaceful settlement of issues with India from the country's air space as he flew to talks in Indonesia.
In a message to Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Musharraf said he hoped a dialogue between the neighbours would produce new solutions for the prosperity of their people, Pakistan daily The News reported in its online edition on Tuesday.
Musharraf was flying to Jakarta for discussions on the Middle East when he sent the greeting.
The message followed recent high-level meetings between Pakistan and India on steps to build confidence and end lingering disputes, such as that over the status of Kashmir.
