Sufi, bhangra, rock, jazz or classical — this weekend take your pick as musical geniuses are all set to enthrall you as part of the ongoing 10-day long Qutub Festival organised by the Delhi Government.
With the majestic Qutub Minar as the backdrop, the festival is showcasing the best talents from the Indian music industry.
While performers such as Shankar, Ehsan, Loy, Kailash Kher, Kunal Ganjawala and Mohit Chauhan have already performed, you can look forward to some other musical stalwarts this weekend.
On Friday, one can tap their feet to the chartbuster bhangra numbers of Daler Mahendi who has also composed a song ‘Khel Ley’ — especially for the Games.
Be it sufi, ghazals, folk, semi-classical or belting out hits in films such as Delhi 6, Kaminey, Omkara or Ishqiya, Rekha Bhardwaj is all set to give a power-packed performance at the festival.
It is all set to be a super Saturday as the rock band Euphoria led by Palash Sen will perform. Sunday will leave you spoilt for choice as four musical bigwigs Hariharan, Louis Banks, Shivamani and Kavita Seth will light up the evening with their performances.
There will be some amazing music also from the colourful percussionist, Shivamani who is guaranteed to drum up some great music.
Ektara-fame Kavita Seth with her soulful voice will also add to the musical extravaganza.
