Addressing the gathering, Mufti Abdur Razzaq said that Indians are peace-loving people and the policies of George Bush are against the Indians’ nature. “America has ravaged several countries and is using lethal weapons against harmless citizens in Iraq, Afghanistan and other

countries”, said Razzaq, who urged all Indians including Muslims to boycott products of America and European countries, particularly Denmark and Britain.

He also criticised the role of the Muslim countries in the Gulf and urged them to take firm stand on the US policies. Maulana Ghazi Wali Ahmad of Darul Uloom Deoband said that America has destroyed the society and culture of several countries, bombed innocents and the Indian citizens are strongly against such policies of the US.

Eminent scholars, social activists, delegates of Jamiat from all over the State unequivocally condemned the decision of Centre to invite Bush and said that government should cancel the visit. The protest meeting ‘Bush, Go back!’ continued well after midnight. There was massive crowd at the public meet that listened the speakers till late in the night.
