Nagmani files nomination papers

Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Nagmani was among seven candidates who today filed their nomination papers for Lok Sabha polls, taking the total number to 16 since the process started.

The Bjp candidate, Nagmani, would contest from Chatra Lok Sabha seat where Jharkhand assembly speaker Inder Singh Namdhari has thrown in his hat and is expected to file papers on March 31.

Others who filed papers are : Sitaram Singh (ind) for Chatra, Ravindra Bhuyan (CPI-ML) from Palamu, Raj Kumar Yadav (CPI-ML) for Kodegma, K C Mahto (Jharkhand party) for Giridih, Abyay Kumar Singh (Samajwadi Party) for Giridih and Shankutala Mishra (Shiv Sena) for Dhanbad seat, an official release said here.

Yesterday External affairs minister Yashwant Sinha had filed his nomination papers for the Hazaribag Lok Sabha seat in the presence of BJP national president Venkaiah Naidu and film star Shatrughun Sinha.
