Got some much needed track time ahead of the Indian Grand Prix when he took over driving duties from Vitantonio Liuzzi in first practice. Gave a fairly good account of himself by setting a lap just 0.045 seconds slower than Daniel Ricciardo, the fancied Australian who took over Narain HRT race seat following the European GP this year. With Ricciardo finishing well ahead of Liuzzi in every other timed session as well as in the race, Narain could be given back the race seat he lost next year should Ricciardo move on to Toro Rosso as many in the paddock expect him to.
