The country witnessed the IT revolution and surged ahead during Rajiv Gandhi's time, Scindia said while addressing a meeting of Youth Congress workers at Guna on Thursday.
He said youths have always played a significant role in the development of any country adding that youth must take advantage of the experience of the elderly to give right direction to their energy and zeal.
He said any agitation or movement without a constructive approach was meaningless. The youth should contribute towards the country's change for the better, to share the pains and woes of the people and to make them aware of ambitious schemes initiated by the Central Government, he said.
National vice president of Nehru Yuva Kendra and MP Youth Congress president Meenakshi Natarajan speaking on the occasion said discipline among youth was of paramount importance.
Without discipline, the situation would be the same as was displayed in Ujjain by undisciplined ABVP workers, she said.
