At the meeting in Geneva, Singh gave a "comprehensive overview of our foreign policy priorities" to the heads of missions, external affairs ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters here.

He said the discussions, which will continue Tuesday, covered a review of bilateral relations with the individual countries as well as ties with Europe as a whole.

"The need to further strengthen and diversify relations was reiterated, especially in view of the fact that India now has an annual summit with the European Union," he added.

The India-EU summit is scheduled to be held in October at The Hague.

Singh stopped over here on his way back to New Delhi via London after attending the funeral services of former US president Ronald Reagan in Washington DC.
