This is being done to help check late running of trains and other factors affecting the movement of trains to a considerable extent and thus end travel woes of the passengers.
Talking to HT Allahabad Live the Chief Public Relation Officer, NCR, BP Pandey, said that presently all work like late running of trains or any other factor affecting movement of the trains of all the divisions under the zone are reviewed by the headquarters through telephone.
Presently, the video-conferencing will be made functional between the NCR headquarters and the Railway Board and once it becomes successful, the system may be made operational between headquarters and divisional offices, said the CPRO.
A budget of Rs 5.86 crore has been sanctioned for the project and the work in this regard will be completed within a couple of months, added the CPRO.
