NDA MPs boycott Question Hour over tainted ministers issue

The NDA MPs walked out of the Lok Sabha as soon as a query was put to Coal Minister Shibu Soren.

In line with its decision to boycott tainted ministers, NDA members on Friday walked out of the Lok Sabha during Question Hour as soon as a query was put to Coal Minister Shibu Soren.

He was immediately supported by members of the NDA who raising slogans staged a walkout.

The query was, however, rejected by Speaker Somnath Chatterjee saying it had no relevance to the main question.

"Dagi mantri hatao (remove tainted Ministers)", shouted NDA members as they left the House.

They returned when the House took up the next question related to the Finance Ministry.
