BJP alone would score a double century in Lok Sabha polls, FM Yashwant Sinha predicted.
Notwithstanding exit poll projections, External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said on Saturday that the ruling NDA was all set to score a triple century, and the BJP a double, in the Lok Sabha polls.
The BJP alone would win 200 seats, he told reporters here.
To a question, Sinha said his assessment was based on ground realities after three phases of Lok Sabha elections.
On media reports about change in BJP's strategy for penultimate and ultimate phases of the polls, he said there was no truth in these.
The BJP would stick to its strategy of taking every Lok Sabha seat seriously, Sinha said.
Asked whether the NDA would extend support to any other combination or party in formation of government in case of a hung house, Sinha said such a situation would not arise as the ruling coalition would secure absolute majority and Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be the Prime Minister again.
