NDA to oppose UPA's 'vote bank politics'
During his visit to a dargah at Kim near Surat, Fernandes told reporters that the ruling UPA led by Congress was determined to use reservation issue for 'vote bank' politics.
Former Defence Minister George Fernandes on Thursday said that NDA would oppose UPA government's move to use quota issue as vote bank politics.

During his visit to a dargah at Kim near Surat, Fernandes told reporters that the ruling UPA led by Congress was determined to use reservation issue for 'vote bank' politics, which would be opposed by the NDA in Parliament during the monsoon session.
"Instead of creating pro and anti-quota groups it was needed to have a detailed discussion on such issue to reach an amicable settlement for the future of the students in medical field," Fernandes said.
On the ongoing roundtable conference at Srinagar on Kashmir issue, he said that the UPA government should not reach on any solution at the cost of national security.
