Suresh Chhikara said the family was not satisfied with investigations by the Gurgaon Police and alleged it was working under pressure because Neha's father-in-law S S Dalal, the local Civil Surgeon, was close to state Director General of Police Ranjiv Singh Dalal.

Neha, who married Ankit last year, had sent an e-mail to her brother Anuj mentioning that she had been tortured by her husband, alleged the father.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner S S Deswal said Haryana Police have taken the decision for handing over the case to State Vigilance Bureau.
