Netaji?s b?day celebrated in style

The 109th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated by several organisations in a grand manner in the city. Children were ahead of others in participating in several cultural events. The children of Kiddy Nursery School presented the play 'Shaheed Krantiveeron ki Amargatha' under the aegis of Netaji Subhash Manch, Bengali Social and Welfare Association. Dr Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur invited as the chief guest and Sahdev Mukherji, president of the Manch garlanded the statue of Bose.

The 109th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated by several organisations in a grand manner in the city.

Children were ahead of others in participating in several cultural events. The children of Kiddy Nursery School presented the play 'Shaheed Krantiveeron ki Amargatha' under the aegis of Netaji Subhash Manch, Bengali Social and Welfare Association.

Dr Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur invited as the chief guest and Sahdev Mukherji, president of the Manch garlanded the statue of Bose. The main attraction of the event was the students dressed up as Bharat Mata who presented the song Vande Matram.

The members of Manch demanded the birth anniversary of Netaji to be declared as the national holiday and to make public the report of the plane accident which is said to have claimed the life of Bose.

The celebrations at Anglo Bengali Inter College was marked with patriotic songs and speeches and it started with garlanding the statue of Bose.

Likewise, Telecom Advisory Committee celebrated the event under the chairmanship of general secretary Dr Prakash Tripathi. A seminar was organised in which the chief guest was Sant Prasad Pandey, general secretary of District Congress Committee. The thoughts and ideals of Subhash Chandra Bose were discussed in the seminar and the people were exhorted to follow his ideals.

Former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Allahabad University, Prof GC Agarwal garlanded the statue of Netaji at Subhash crossing in the event organised by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Committee. He said Netaji played an important part in the struggle for freedom. Mayor Dr KP Srivastava said children should be well acquainted with the thoughts and ideals of Netaji. Founder president Lallu Ram Gupta demanded conferring the Bharat Ratna on Bose. Cultural event was also held in which the patriotic songs were presented by Jai Kumar Kesarwani and Chandra Prakash. The students of Arya Kanya Degree College presented national song Vande Matram.

Several political leaders and other prominent personalities of the city were present on the occasion.

Britishers had to quit India on account of adamant and courageous attitude of Netaji, said Ram Prasad Yadav, chief of Bharat Udai Sena in an event organised on the occasion. Thousands of activists of Jai Hind Foundation gathered at the Subhash Crossing in the evening and paid floral tributes to Netaji. They took out a torch light procession and raised patriotic slogans.

Likewise BJP Northern Division Part-1 activists paid floral tributes at the statue of Bose. Several important leaders were present on the occasion.

Akhis Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, students of Kamla Nehru Electro Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, and members of Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Sangathan also paid floral tributes to Netaji on his 109th birth anniversary.
