MOTILAL NEHRU National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) has witnessed a major administrative reshuffle resulting in the appointment of four professors as the new Deans of the Deemed University. The reshuffle, sources say, are the result of completion of the set tenure of three years of the former incumbents of the post.

Under the changes, Prof Nirjhar Roy of the Mechanical Engineering Department has been appointed as Dean (Academics) in place of Dr Rakesh Mathur of the Department of Applied Mechanics while Prof Sudarshan Tiwari of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department has taken over as Dean (Research and Consultancy) from Prof SK Duggal of the Department of Civil Engineering.
Prof Rakesh Narain of Mechanical Engineering department, who had been serving as the president of the Student Activity Centre, has been appointed as Dean Students Affairs (DSA) as well as Chief Proctor of MNNIT. He will retain his charge of president SAC.
The MNNIT administration has however retained Prof AK Mishra of Computer Science and Engineering department as the Dean (Planning and Development) as well as Dean (administration).
