CPI leader AB Bardhan has said the Common Minimum Programme to guide the Congress-led Govt will be finalised within two days.
The draft Common Minimum Programme (CMP) to guide the new Congress-led Government will be finalised within two days, CPI leader AB Bardhan said in New Delhi on Sunday.
The draft will be prepared by a committee headed by Congress leader Manmohan Singh and circulated among alliance partners for suggestions, the Communist leader told reporters after a meeting of allies where Congress President Sonia Gandhi was elected as the coalition leader.
He said the CMP, whose broad guidelines had already been thought of, is expected to be finalised within a week.
The CMP will be centred around meeting the basic needs, Bardhan said.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Laloo Prasad Yadav said the coalition partners would furnish common issues of their election manifestos to Manmohan Singh out of which the CMP will be decided.
Asked about the name of the ruling coalition, Yadav said it will be decided on Monday.
