New range for kids from Lux

WITH THE departure of winter and demand for summer collections picking up gradually, Kolkata-based undergarments major, Lux Hosiery Limited, has come up with ‘Cool Kids Wear’ for children. The new range of products would now be available in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Having an annual sales turnover of over Rs 350 crore, the company has set a target of Rs 500 crore for 2007. “In 2007, we’re going to celebrate our golden jubilee and we’ve kept a production target of 10 lakh pieces per day against the current seven lakh pieces per day,” said Lux Hosiery Director Naveen Kumar Todi.
He said the company had planned to launch a unique product, a funky kind in innerwear in the premium segment during golden
Todi said, as a sales strategy, the company had been providing a free glass on purchase of any of its premium segment product like Coolz, Cozy etc. With 85 per cent market share, the Company has been operating for the last 25 years in Madhya Pradesh.
Todi said that apart from domestic market, the company had export turnover of Rs 35 crore. “In the Gulf, our Baba suits are very popular,” he added. Company’s sole selling and C&F agent Brij Jaisinghani said, to avoid duplicate products in the market, the original products bear 3-D hologram on every product. “Through retailers conference, we’re trying to apprise our retailers about the company, its policy and products,” he said.
