Nine women drown in sea in Gujarat

Nine women who had gone to the beach for a picnic drowned in the sea near Chorwad in Junagadh district.

Nine women who had gone to the beach for a picnic met a watery grave when they drowned in the sea near Chorwad in Junagadh district on Friday, police said in Ahmedabad.

"We have recovered bodies of nine women who had come for a picnic," police said.

"It seems that the women drowned when they went for a bath," the officials said.
