Europe’s biggest budget airline Ryanair hopes it can turn the corner using those who want to go around the corner. In future, the dilemma of whether to pee or not to pee has been resolved for you. Cruising at an altitude of thousands of feet, should you feel the need to spend a penny, well, it’ll cost you a pound. Yes, the airline intends to make you pay to pee. In fact, it is even looking to install coin slots on toilet doors. Now we have heard of no-frills but this is really plumbing the depths. If you are the nervous type given to rushing loowards every now and again, you could well end your journey bankrupt. But wait, there is hope yet. Budget airlines have come up with the wheeze of charging ridiculous amounts for drinks the size of, well, rat’s piss from hapless passengers.

Now the wary passenger, fearing the toilet tax, may steer clear of these libations, all the better to save a few quid. So where would that leave the bottomline, eh? Let’s hope that this plan doesn’t catch on here. As it is we’re paying through our noses for less than adequate services on budget airlines. Now we may have to pay through other appendages as well.

At this rate, we might be charged an extra few bob for breathing the cabin’s rarefied air, or for actually getting some service once in a while. Remember, once airborne, you are at the airline’s mercy. How we long for the good old days when the passenger was the maharajah instead of all this bladderdash.
