Asked whether the DMK would join any government at the Centre, DMK President M Karunanidhi said, "No. We will not join the government at the Centre."

He was speaking to reporters in Chennai after a meeting of the leaders of Democratic Progressive Alliance.

Asked whether the DMK would go back to NDA, in case of a hung parliament, he replied in negative.

Karunanidhi also ruled out the possibility of any post-poll third front at the national level or the united front experiment of 1996.

He expressed happiness over its ally, Congress returning to power in Andhra Pradesh. Asked whether the same trend would be seen in Tamil Nadu, he shot back "Why cannot you wait for one more day."
