Thanks to the callous attitude of the officials, a large number of visitors at Allahabad Junction Railway Station are facing hardships due to a lack of proper drinking water arrangements in the premises of the station.

With the rise in the mercury level, it is really hard for the visitors to stand at the reservation or the ticket counters without suitable arrangement of drinking water. "It becomes difficult to stand for a long time at the reservation counters specially in summers", said Shyam Lal, a visitor at the station.

Not only the visitors but the regular taxi drivers, rickshaw-pullers and coolies have to suffer due to this problem.

When contacted, Public Relation Officer NCR, RK Srivastava, "We are bound to provide facilities only in ticketing areas". Still, the department will consider the problems of the visitors at the station and will make effort to provide taps near reservation counters, added Srivastava.
