Delta will launch daily non-stop flights from Chennai to New York.

Delta Airlines, the world's second largest airline in terms of passengers carried, will launch non-stop daily flights from Chennai to New York via Paris.

The new service, which will begin operations from May 11 next year, will provide more choice for non-resident Indians (NRIs) making frequent trips to Europe and the US, an official release of the company said here on Thursday.

"Once this operation becomes a reality, passengers from Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi bound for New York would be able to save a lot of valuable time. There would be connecting flights from these two airports for the Delta flights leaving Chennai," said a spokesperson of the airline.

Delta Airlines will use the Boeing 767-300ER aircrafts for this service, a statement said.
