With reference to the editorial Sen and sensibility (August 23), the hungama in both Houses of Parliament is pointless. Indian Ambassador Ronen Sen has not done anything for which he needs to apologise or resign. He dared to say something that is true. Before making such a statement, he must have analysed the matter. The Left and the NDA should stop criticising the government and support the deal that is going to benefit the country.

The Left Front seems to have an identity crisis. The nuclear deal is an open one. A pragmatic approach, ground realities and
security in the context of the global situation is important when the country is confronted with unreliable neighbours like China and Pakistan. Manmohan Singh has made a good decision for the development of the country.
