THE OLD students of St Joseph’s Co-Ed School launched Alumni Association of Josephites (AAJ) at a function held in the school today. Archbishop of Bhopal His Grace Dr Pascal Topno was the chief guest on the occasion.
The old students of St Joseph’s Co-Ed School founded Alumni Association of Josephites recently with 21 members. They also elected the office-bearers of the Association.
Devesh Pidiha was elected the president of the Association. Meryl Mathew was elected vice-president, while Prashant Singh was elected the general secretary.
Abhilash Devarajan and Hemant Bindal were elected as secretary and treasurer of the Association respectively. The Association was formally launched today in the school. The Archbishop of Bhopal released a booklet of the Association on the occasion.
In his address he said, “Life has become very fast and busy; people don’t find time to meet each other; the Alumni Association will help the Josephites to reunite every year and share their experiences”.
The office-bearers then took oath to perform their duties honestly and sincerely. President of the Association Devesh Pidiha spoke on the occasion. He thanked the other office-bearers and members of the Association for electing him the president.
He also informed that the Association would organise a reunion of the old students soon. First head boy of the school Kumar Tangshale and third head girl Mridu Shukla also shared their experiences on the occasion.
Principal of the school Fr. Maria Stephen and manager Fr. Abraham congratulated the old students for launching AAJ. Vicar General (Archdiocese of Bhopal) Fr. George Stephen, headmistress of the school Sr. Mercy, head coordinator Sr. Julie, founder members of AAJ Buddha Mitra and Aditi Chaturvedi were also present.
General secretary of the Association Prashant Singh conducted the programme.
