Talking to reporters at a village in Mughalsarai on Thursday, Yadav said his government’s ‘splendid’ performance had become a cause of worry for the Opposition.

The chief minister had come to attend a marriage function at the ward of one of teh party legislators for Mughalsarai, Ram Kishun Yadav this morning. He was also scheduled to attend a function at Ghazipur which was cancelled due to a heavy downpour. Yadav said the ‘Janata Divas’ had been evoking tremendous response from the masses. He said problems of public concern were being disposed of within the shortest span of time that was possible.

He said on the lines of Janata Divas, the practice of ‘Block Darshan’ would soon be introduced in the state. The CM said with this move, problems confronting the common people at the block level would be sorted out within the shortest time possible otherwise it took long to solve these problems.

He said the normal practice was under such schemes officials of various government departments would sit for a day in a week and hear grievances of the public. However, now with the concerned government agencies being involved on the spot, problems of the common public would be redressed at a quicker pace.

The Chief Minister brushed aside a media query about the Supreme Court direction on Wednesday seeking his and his family members’ income and expenditure of the past five years. Yadav avoided the question of former PM VP Singh and expelled SP leader Raj Babbar joining hands against his government. He was accompanied by his minister brother Shiv Pal Yadav.
