The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday adjourned the bail application of Nithari accused Moninder Singh Pandher till May 4. Pandher's advocate, however, withdrew the bail application by afternoon.
Pandher's advocate Manoj Gupta said, "We withdrew the bail application of Pandher because of change of circumstances and lack of proper evidence to support the bail application. We will file the application only after we have enough supportive evidence."
Khalid Khan, the victims’ lawyer said, “We contested that (bail application). Since 16 more chargesheets are yet to be filed by the CBI, Pandher could influence the investigation. His advocates had pleaded that since he was not made accused in two chargesheets, he could be granted bail."
“On our protest petition against the second charge sheet in respect of 20 year old victim Pinky Sarkar, arguments were heard by the court today. We have demanded the inclusion of Pandher in the chargesheet. CBI had only named Surender Koli,” Khan said.
