Parking dispute leads to murder

A loading rickshaw driver and his friend killed another rickshaw driver following heated exchange over parking at the rickshaw stand in Dewas Naka.

A loading rickshaw driver and his friend killed another rickshaw driver following heated exchange over parking at the rickshaw stand in Dewas Naka.

Police have arrested both the culprits. Last night Lasudia police recovered blood stained body of Ramesh son of Matapher Yadav (35) from SDA Compound area.

A resident of Bapu Gandhi Nagar, the deceased was a loading rickshaw driver. During investigations the police found that just before the murder the deceased had heated exchanges with Anil Sahu alias Bablu son of Kesri Prasad Sahu (22), who is also a loading rickshaw driver, over parking of their vehicles.

During the exchanges, the deceased had verbally abused Sahu. Sahu who purchased a new loading rickshaw and had gone to the Dewas Naka was not allegedly not allowed by the deceased to park his vehicle.

Police picked up Sahu from his house at Prakash Chandra Sethi Nagar and he confessed that he and his friend Narendra alias Lalu son of Vinod Maurya (23), killed Ramesh to take revenge for the abuses hurled at him by the deceased.
Police said that Sahu sent his friend Narendra to pretend that he wanted to hire Ramesh’s loading rickshaw.

The deal was fixed at Rs 300 and Narendra took Ramesh to SDA Compound where Sahu was already waiting. The culprits attacked Ramesh which resulted in his death. The two accused told police that actually they only wanted to hurt Ramesh and teach him a lesson, but they ended up killing him.
