The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its dismay over the constant apathy of the Wakf Board authorities towards the condition of its own employees.

"The Wakf Board employees, including the school teachers and other staff members, have been complaining disparities in salaries, DA and other allowances and are on protest for the past few days," a PDP spokesman said in a statement.

He said the Wakf Board is community institution with enough financial base mainly through the support of the community donors. However, it is regrettable that the institution has marked a downfall in reputation and integrity due to its non-performance and wrong decisions by the management.

The spokesman said the PDP is concerned over the overall health of this institution and would like it to retrieve its reputation through welfare and employees friendly measures. He demanded that the striking employees should be heard immediately.
