Peter Jackson, the maverick director from New Zealand, started early on a career behind the camera, one could say. For even when he was barely eight years old, he started recording films with the super 8 movie camera his parents gifted him. Even then he showed his trademark style - great special effect achieved at a very low cost. As a 22 year old, he made his first film, "Bad Taste" (1987). The movie was a hit with its trademark bizarre humour and amazing array of special effects, enough to win him laurels at the Cannes Film festival. But the movie that won him world wide renoun was "Braindead" (1992). Based on JRR Tolkien's famous book, The Lord of the Rings, is about the final chapter of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It witnesses the battle for Middle Earth and control of the One Ring continues. As Frodo and Sam follow their devious guide, Gollum, toward Mount Doom, where they must destroy the ring, their friends attempt to unite the kingdoms of Rohan and Gondor in battle against the evil Lord Sauron's armies.
