Security forces had a tough time in controlling party activists when the chief minister broke the security cover, crossed the barricades and shook shake hands with youths and blessed the girls.
In his short programme, Mulayam along with cine star Amitabh Bachchan, not only pleased the people but also tried to consolidate his party’s position in their hearts.
Mulayam concluded his speech with the words, “Youths and girls, you will member Mulayam Singh”. He appealed to the youths to bring SP back into power. Mulayam’s son and MP Akhilesh Yadav also exhorted the youths to support SP when the opposition was intensifying attack on Samajwadi Party.
Cabinet Minister Harishanker Tiwari, Kameshwar Upadhyay, State Minister Jaiprakash Yadav, Waqar Ahmad Shah and Shyam Narain Tiwari along with others expressed their views on this occasion. The CM laid the foundation of 90 projects with an estimated cost of Rs 116 crore. He also inaugurated various projects on this occasion.
Around 9931 unemployed youths got unemployment allowances cheques.
