The points that have been identified are Naurangpur Mor, IMT Chowk, Manesar Bus Stand, and Bilaspur Chowk.

"The volume of traffic is very high in these areas and pedestrians find it difficult to cross roads. The city needs several FOBs so that people could have a safe road life. The only way to ensure pedestrian safety is by building better footpaths and FOBs," said a senior police official.

He added, "The city lacks proper crossings and related infrastructure, resulting in fatal accidents. Besides, there is lack of discipline and awareness among pedestrians. But the main problem lies with the concerned authorities. We are in constant talks with the authorities to make the life of pedestrians safer and easier."

"The authorities need to construct FOBs around the city. The move will bring down the number of accidents," said the official.

On February 18 too, the traffic police had written a letter to the project director of Pink City Expressway, Manesar, regarding the need of FOBs at NH-8 to avoid accidents.
