He has also said his party Janata Dal (United)'s 17-year-long alliance with the BJP was a mistake and accused it of fueling communal unrest across Bihar for the past two years.

On the other hand, Prime Miniter Narendra Modi has also launched scathing attacks on the Bihar CM during his recent rallies in the state, saying that Bihar would witness "Jungle raj-2" if the JD(U)-RJD coalition is elected this year.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had sparked a row over his "political DNA" remark against Nitish Kumar, spurring a counter offensive as JD(U) launched a "shabdwapsi" or "Take Back Your Words" campaign.
