Power failure in major parts of the civil line today badly affected the headquarters of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), media and other state and central government offices.

Power failure in major parts of the civil line today badly affected the headquarters of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), media and other state and central government offices.

Power failure since this morning has badly affected BSNL headquarters, national and other local media offices besides government printing press and office of Joint Director Information.

However, majority of these offices and media organisations have shifted to local power generators.

A Power Development Department (PDD) official said that there was a major fault in the transmission line, feeding these areas.

He said a team of PDD technical staff are on the job to restore the line.
