Presidential poll - Ajit Singh signs Patil's nomination papers

Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh on Thursday signed a set of nomination papers of the UPA-Left Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil as a proposer.
Singh signed the papers when Union Information and Broadcasting Minister PR Dasmunsi called on him at his residence this morning, party sources said.
After BSP supremo Mayawati, who signed a set of nomination papers of Patil yesterday, Singh is the next significant leader to have signed the papers, boosting the prospects of Patil.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi had earlier singed the nomination papers of Patil.
