"The international community has been putting pressure on India to resolve the long-pending Kashmir issue," he told a gathering at his residence here soon after his arrival from a week-long tour abroad.

The Chairman of the moderate faction of the Hurriyat Conference attended a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) in New York.

Mirwaiz, a softliner, has convened a meeting of the amalgam's Executive Council on October 6 to brief members about his visit.
