In a meeting held here at teachers hall, the district president of the Primary Teachers’ Association Bhaktraj Ram Tripathi said despite working for full month, the teachers were not paid salary in time. He blamed BSA for adopting confrontational attitude on issues of promotion and transfer of teachers.

He said BSA was harassing the teachers; therefore, we had no other way but to show our resentment. On this occasion, the secretary of association Sridhar Mishra said 600 teachers were promoted as head of education institution in July but they were not getting the salaries. He blamed various irregularities in transfer of teachers.

Association leader Sudhanshu Mohan Singh blamed BSA for delaying the payment of the salaries to the teachers. This was done to mount pressure on the teachers to join their duties in remote areas after transfer, he added.

Teachers’ body leader Ajay Kumar Singh, Rajesh Dhar Dubey, Anil Pandey, Mahendra Rai, Ram Dutt Shahi and many others also expressed their views on the issue.
