'Privilege notice against PM under consideration'

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today said she was considering BJP's breach of privilege notice against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for announcing outside Parliament the rejection of the demand for setting up of JPC in the IPL and phone tapping issues.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Wednesday said she was considering BJP's breach of privilege notice against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for announcing outside Parliament the rejection of the demand for setting up of JPC in the IPL and phone tapping issues.

"I have got the notice. It is under my consideration," the Speaker observed in the House after the BJP Deputy Leader Gopinath Munde supported by several of his party colleagues including Yashwant Sinha raised the matter.

The House witnessed noisy scenes as agitated BJP members wanted to speak on the matter, leading to its adjournment till 2 pm.
