Rahul, 34, is the latest in the Gandhi-Nehru family to enter electoral politics. He is a Gemini, and this is what he is like: 'Communicator. Social, outgoing. Sees and blends both sides of an issue. Vivacious, quick, flexible, versatile, lively and changeable. Mentally ambitious.'
His elementary and primary schooling was done at Modern School, New Delhi. But because of security concerns, Rahul and sister Priyanka were mostly taught at home.
He joined St Stephen's College, Delhi, in 1989 to do his History (Hons) course. He did not complete the course and left the college in 1990. He was admitted to St Stephen's from the sports quota.
In 1990 he went to US to study economics at Harvard University. Although he spent four years at Harvard but he did not get the degree because he did not had required grades. After Harvard, Rahul shifted to London and worked as a financial consultant.
