"It was a massive crowd of some one lakh in the BSP programme as compared to only 10,000 in the Congress rally nearby. It has unnerved Congress 'yuvraj' following which he did not even take the name of Ambedkar with due respect and this is most deplorable," party state unit president Swami Prasad Maurya alleged in a statement.

Flagging off the 'Chetna' (awareness) Yatra here to mark 125 years of Congress party's establishment, Rahul said, "The BSP government was turning its back on pro-poor schemes and still claims to be a pro-poor government. How can this be possible?"

The BSP leader said on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Congress leader had nothing to say on the Dalit icon's contribution and this was reflective of his party's casteist mentality.
