Rahul will attend a meeting of District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee at Vikas Bhawan in Sultanpur on Friday. The district administration has ordered clearing of the area of bees for security reasons.

Officials are not willing to take any chances after the bees swarmed the Bahujan Samaj Party rally here on March 15. On Wednesday three beehives seen near the venue of the meeting were removed. But the bees swarmed the area again on Thursday.

"Beehives were not properly removed on Wednesday. The district administration has now sought the help of horticulture department to clear the area of the bees," district police chief of Sultanpur Satyaveer Singh said.

"We have made foolproof security arrangements for Rahul Gandhi's visit," he said.

Meanwhile preparations are in full swing for Rahul's visit to Sultanpur.

Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh said Rahul would reach the meeting's venue at 11 am.

Rahul will thereafter make surprise visits to various areas in his Amethi Lok Sabha constituency. On Saturday Rahul would attend meetings with his party workers at Gauriganj and Tiloi, he said.
