Train and bus services in the financial capital were, however, normal.

In the last 24 hours, Colaba met office (in the city) recorded 42.1 mm of rainfall, while the figure for Santacruz (in suburbs) was 95.7 mm. The relative humidity level in the metropolis was 95 per cent.

The Regional Metereological Centre has forecast spells of rain or thundershowers with possibility of heavy downpour in parts of the city and suburbs.

Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 27 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
