"It was just a change of responsibility and no poll prospects would be diminished due to her (Raje) quitting the post," state BJP President Arun Chaturvedi said.
He said, "in BJP everyone works with each other. No one is above the party. We all are united and will work together during the upcoming polls, whatever may be the results".
On who should be the next leader of opposition in the state assembly, he said, "party high command would direct the party MLAs to choose a new leader. Wait for that".
Meanwhile, reacting on Raje's resignation, senior party leader and former deputy chief minister H S Bhabhra said, "it was a delayed response to party high command's direction".
"Subha ka bhula agar shyam ko lot aye to use bhula nahin kehatay...Now she had to obey the party leadership's order," he said.
Whatever party high command or leadership decides, every party worker has to follow it, regardless of any post or position, he said.
