DEMANDING RESIGNATION of Union Health Minister A Ramadoss, nearly 400 students under the banner of Youth for Equality (Y4E) took out a candlelight procession from the LLR Hospital’s emergency ward to Motijheel, here on Thursday.

Students of IIT-K, GSVM Medical College, Rama Dental College, Maharana Pratap Institute of Engineering and of several other higher institutions took out a silent candlelight procession.

Students gathered at the entrance of GSVM Medical college around at 7.30 pm and took out the candlelight march. Members of Y4E deplored the decision of Ramadoss to sack AIIMS director Dr P Venugopal Rao. They demanded reinstatement of Rao. The members of Y4E demanded immediate resignation of A Ramadoss.

Earlier, the Y4E members chalked out a strategy on Wednesday night to take out the rally on Thursday. The plan was so secret that the Swarup Nagar police came to know of it 15 minutes prior to the march. A large number of women students also participated in the march.
