Reliance WebWorld offers free training to first time Net users

RELIANCE WEBWORLD will offer free training on Internet and multi-player online gaming (MPOG) to first time users of Internet. This will be made available through a three-day programme at over 240-strong Reliance WebWorld chain of Broadband stores. Those willing can avail of the programme till February 28.

RELIANCE WEBWORLD will offer free training on Internet and multi-player online gaming (MPOG) to first time users of Internet. This will be made available through a three-day programme at over 240-strong Reliance WebWorld chain of Broadband stores. Those willing can avail of the programme till February 28.

This unique workshop comprises 30-minutes of one-to-one tutorial on day one either on surfing or on gaming depending on what the user opts for. Day two and three will include 30 minutes of practical and one-hour of Internet/gaming usage.

The customer will also be handed a list of broadband website URL’s across various popular categories which include sports, music, movies, e-shopping among others and a ready-reckoner on how to use the Internet - 10 easy steps on Day 01.

“The programme will go a long way in helping first time Internet users get over the fear of a new technology,” said Santanu Chakrabarty, circle CEO, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Orissa. “It will immensely help boost computer-literacy and grow the computer culture far and wide in the country that will eventually enhance business productivity and usher in the convenience of using Internet for daily household utilities.”

Currently, Madhya Pradesh has eight WebWorlds in prominent locations of Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur. Multi-Player Online Gaming (MPOB) includes a whole host of action-packed thrilling adventure of the World’s five most popular and widely played real-time PC games like Counter Strike: Condition Zero, Need for Speed: Underground, Unreal Tournament 2004,
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne and FIFA 2004. Reliance WebWorld is a one-stop-shop for all Reliance Infocomm products and services.

Each store has three key modules–a customer convenience centre, JAVAGREEN a gourmet coffee bar and a real broadband centre that offers applications like video chat and conferencing, multiplayer online gaming, digital personalised music, digital theatre, digital photo imaging, virtual office besides Internet surfing at speed about 100 times faster than dial up access.
