HE IS one of the hottest singers in Bollywood today. He is the face that made ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’, one of the most-watched shows on the television. He can be aptly called the King of Remixes because of a plethora of remixes that he churned out.
After enthralling with ‘Tanha Dil’ and ‘Aksar’, Shaan’s latest album ‘Tishnagi’ has also hit high on the musical charts.
“Tishnagi is more vibrant than my previous albums. It is a blend of romantic ballads, rock tracks and some foot-tapping dance numbers”, the singer said in an exclusive interview with the Hindustan Times.
Shaan was in Bhopal to give a stage show on the sidelines of the National Ophthalmology Conference at hotel Noor-Us-Sabah on Thursday.
Acknowledging that he had got tagged with remixes considering the large number of medleys he dished out he said: “The phenomenon of remixes has eased out to a some extent. Music has become more trendy, visual-oriented and entertaining.”
On the vulgarity being shown in some videos he said, “Music is a beautiful expression and should be kept aloof from vulgarity”.
On his movies in the pipeline he said, Don, Marigold, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Fanah and Salame Ishq were some major releases for 2006 in which he had sung.
About Talent Hunt Shows he said, “They were working well and the concept had picked up a lot”.
