The report says that the zone 1 witnessed maximum duration of power cut for 5 hours and 50 minutes on May 22, when zone 2 saw its longest outage for 6 hour 35 minutes.
During rest of the period, power cut in the city was scheduled for not more than one hour in a day and on some days there was no power cut at all.
But the residents said they have been facing outages for 10-12 hours for the past 45 days.
Officials of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) have said in their monthly report sent to the discom’s head office in Hisar that the residents hardly faced any power cut last month.
“On May 1, the total power consumption was 150.38 lakh units. In zone 1, the power cut on this day was for 45 minutes. In zone 2 the power cut was for 20 minutes and in the industrial area, there was no power cut at all,” the report reads.

The residents complain that the power supply in their areas has not been enough to even recharge their inverters.
Those who want to lodge a complaint with the discom’s helpline have to wait for around 50 minutes to get a complaint registered.
Subhash Deswal, superintending engineer , DHBVN, however denied of any such report. “We have not sent or prepared any such report,” he said.
