RITS win nodal cricket tournament

RADHARAMAN INSTITUTE of Technology & Science (RITS) won the RGPV Nodal Cricket Tournament that was played on RITS ground. RITS defeated RKDF in the finals by a margin of 22 runs.
RITS won the toss and elected to bat first. RITS batsmen began their innings on a glorious note. Opener Varun played a gutsy knock of 42 runs that included one six and three fours.
Skipper Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi made a quick-fire 30 runs that came off just 16 deliveries and comprised four boundaries.
Good batting helped RITS to make 166 runs in 29.4 overs. RKDF’s R Seni scalped three wickets while Rohit took two. In reply, RKDF batsmen could not face the disciplined bowling spell and were restricted to 143 runs.
Vikram Dalal, who played an inning of 24 runs that was studded with three boundaries, was the highest run getter for RKDF. Surendra Singh took two wickets.
The Man of the Series award went to Sankalp Singh of RKDF. BDCA Secretary and chief guest Dr Shafquat Mohammad Khan gave away the prizes. RITS Chairman Radharaman Saxena, director L D Balani and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
