Yuva RJD national president Alok Mehta told reporters that Prasad has decided to revive the dissolved youth wings in view of the Assembly elections due later this year.

Prasad had in June dissolved the party's youth committees soon after RJD state youth committee General Secretary Dhananjay Sharma set his gun at Mehta, a former MP, in support of the candidature of Satish Paswan, an ex-MLA, for the post of the Yuva RJD national president.

The RJD chief had later nominated Mehta as Yuva national president.
